Xerox DocuMate 4790 Document Scanner Wins Channel Award in Latin America

MIAMI, United States, January 2013– Xerox (NYSE: XRX) today announced that Compuchannel, a leading on-line publication in Latin America, selected the Xerox DocuMate® 4790 for a Channel Award in the best professional scanner category. Award judges noted the scanner’s innovative features such as an LCD front panel (used to control jobs, visualize project status and receive alerts) as well as the ultrasonic double feed detection and stapled document detection.

More than 1,500 products of different brands were nominated for 127 computer hardware categories. The products were evaluated by a jury of technology specialists and voted upon by Compuchannel readers using the following criteria: scan speed, scan method, duplex capability, optical resolution, maximum papersize, document type and warranty.

The Xerox DocuMate 4790 scans a large-volume of documents to make their distribution easier in an office environment. With a daily duty cycle of up to 10,000 sheets, it scans up to 90 pages per minute, and is powered by Visioneer OneTouch scanning technology, which simplifies scan jobs and workflows.

The Channel Awards program is a yearly event organized by Compuchannel. Compuchannel received more than 88,000 votes from readers in different Latin American countries and more than 1,100 votes from technology specialists.
