Xerox Shows New Ways Customers Can Connect Physical and Digital Worlds at PRINT 18

New Xerox Corporation(NYSE: XRX)printing technology, workflow software and personalization solutions unveiled at PRINT 18 this week showcase innovative ways to bridge the physical and digital worlds so businesses can grow and succeed in the competitive graphic communications market.

Xerox is introducing two new features for the Xerox Iridesse®Production PressHigh Definition Emulsion Aggregate (HD EA) white dry inkand extra-long sheet sizes. The Xerox Iridesse Production Press launched in May 2018 as the first digital press that can print CMYK and up to two specialty colors in a single pass at 120 ppm with spot-on registration.

“We’ve been floored by what our Iridesse Press can do for remarkable and eye-catching ads, cards and posters,” said Ben Glazier, CEO, Glazier Design. “The Iridesse has given us exceptionally high-quality printed collateral. Even on some of our most demanding and quick turnaround jobs, we’ve been able to bring the jobs to life, and didn’t need to use any litho processes in any of the collateral, saving us days.”

With the new HD EA white dry ink, print providers can apply special spot effects to transform ordinary printed pieces into ones that tout a unique physical look and feel. It can be layered under or over CMYK – or both for double impact – on a wider range of media including black, transparent or metallic stocks, craft paper, and synthetics and polys.

Additionally, the press can print on extra-long sheets up to 13″ x 47.24″and can auto-duplex extra-long sheets up to 28.5″ long. This makes it possible to do a tri-fold brochure that folds to 8.5″ x 11″–useful for marketing collateral like menus, product and real estate brochures.

Highly effective, personalized cross-media

XMPie®Circle PersonalEffect®Edition, a software-as-a-service solution for managing your multichannel marketing campaigns, will be on display. With this software for automating the deployment of print and digital touchpoints, users can also track results and find out which messages are working best with which people, in which context and in which media.

Adobe Sign will also be integrated into the PersonalEffect platform, so customers can add fully-automated electronic signature workflows to their personalized, omnichannel customer communications campaigns. XMPie PersonalEffect users can now create fully interactive personalized PDFs including buttons and other interactive elements used for form navigation and calls to action.

Output, flexibility and applications boost for Brenva HD

The Xerox Brenva®HD Production Pressnow has a 50 percent increase in output capacity, expanded stock choices and a roll feed capability for continuous operation. For customers, it creates new ways to print more jobs faster, which is essential for books and manuals, and transactional jobs. Brenva HD has an increased output of 275 ppm, or depending on the sheet size used, up to 300 letter size impressions per minute.

The Tecnau SheetFeeder™ BVroll feed system for Brenva HD delivers up to nine hours of non-stop cut sheet paper feeding. The Brenva HD now features an expanded media range, up to 270 gsm, enabling jobs such as postcards or ID cards that require heavier stocks.

Other notable updates:

  • The Xerox Iridesse Production Press Augmented Reality Demonstrations are a new way for customers to experience both the key press technologies and virtual “press in a room” on-site in their facilities.
  • Xerox FreeFlow®Core Iridesse Acceleratorautomates the preparation process for print jobs with pre-built workflows in FreeFlow Core that allow print providers to take an existing print job and automatically change elements to gold or silver to add visual enhancement.
